Fall is finally in the air and most welcome. I have had such a great response from all who have come into the shop. Thank you all who share the love of aged, faded, chippy, slightly torn items that have a way of speaking to your heart. I will continue to bring in more of these favorite patina enriched treasures. This last weekend, the quilt show was a great success, bringing in many of you extremely talented quilters, and gave me a chance to sell a beautiful quilt that was loving created by several quilters in Lake Elsinore, and raffled for a charity some eight or more years ago. The lucky buyer is herself a quilter and treasured the fabulous detailed stitches. In a gesture of friendship, her friend paid for the quilt as a early gift.

But there are still more quilts inside the store, one which many marveled over, a hand tied, homespun treasure with original cotton batting. The texture of the fabrics and weight of the quilt attests to its age, probably around the turn of the century, from old Missouri.

The most memorable part of the show were the people! Friends, sisters, couples, all of wonderful spirit and sharing a great experience here in Old Town. I never cease to be amazed by the caring relationships I encounter in my store. It is so nice to be a witness to genuine kindness and humbling at the same time.

Thank you all for your continued support. Blessings to all.

Welcome to Liberty!

After a long vacation, we are back in town! Our new location is in The Emporium Building on Main Street, across from the community theatre. We hope to be open for business on July 1st. We will be stocked with primitive, country, french and american furniture. Our garden items will include one-of-a-kind mosaics, birdhouses, yard art, and pottery. We also have loads of vintage china pieces available.
As always, our displays will include plenty of charm and inspiration for your country home and garden. Hope to see you there!
